Begin your adventure with a private horse-drawn carriage tour with the iconic Tally-Ho Carriage Tours, Victoria’s original transportation company celebrating over 150 years of service!
To help get the experience started right, Fresh Cup Roastery Café will provide a complimentary 12 oz, organic, freshly-roasted, award-winning coffee (or other specialty beverage of your choosing such as lattes, hot chocolate, tea, etc.). Each guest will also enjoy a hand-crafted, mouth-wateringly-delicious Halloween themed shortbread cookie from RockCoast Confections.
Your Tally-Ho carriage will be decorated for the Fall season and our beautiful draft horses have all chosen their favorite Halloween outfits (Major is pictured here with his angelic halo… which is really quite laughable if you have met Major!). Your horse and coachman/woman will keenly await your arrival, and you will have a couple of minutes to meet each other, take photos, etc. Please ensure to give the horses much love and affection (they are expecting nothing less)!
As you embark on your adventure through the rural farming community of Saanichton, sit back and relax to the slow, rhythmic sound of your horses hooves.
Arriving at Ocean View Estates, with spectacular ocean and mountain views across Haro Strait, guests will have approximately 75 minutes to explore the best of the Fall season!
Enjoy the twists and turns through a 2 acre maze of tall corn (and find hidden treasures along the way)! Then pick-your-pumpkins from a huge farm-fresh selection! Each guest will take home one small pumpkin, or pool your complimentary pumpkin-resources and select medium or large sizes!
Depending on the day of your experience, you may also encounter Disney Princesses who will delight your young ones inside the corn maze! Enchanted Fables will help create unforgettable memories!
Your carriage will return to pick you up from the pumpkin patch & corn maze, and transport you back to Saanichton Village through the fields of Longview Farm. Longview is the largest certified organic vegetable farm on Vancouver Island, with over 165 acres of certified organic land.
En route you will also pass the historic, 16.5 acre Newman Farm. Having remained in family ownership and relatively unchanged for 107 years, this property is a rare example of a small, subsistence farm on the Saanich Peninsula. Learn about how part of the property is now being used by the Farmlands Trust to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables to provide meals for homeless and low income people living in Greater Victoria.

OCEAN VIEW ESTATES is a family-run farm established in 2010 and located within the gorgeous Saanich Peninsula. Their aim is to provide the community with a range of agricultural experiences through events, festivals, U-pick fields and fresh produce from their farm stand.
FRESH CUP ROASTERY CAFE uses farmer-direct, single-origin, organic beans. As Canada’s most environmentally sustainable coffee roaster, they use their patented in-house, small-batch roaster to always ensures consistent quality with the freshest, tastiest beans and cupped coffee possible.
ROCKCOAST CONFECTIONS is a small-batch, gourmet chocolatier and confectioner that creates high quality products with natural ingredients that are free of artificial flavors and colors.
ENCHANTED FABLES provides theme park quality children’s entertainment for hundreds of Birthday parties, fundraisers, and corporate events. Their company owner is a former Walt Disney World character performer, who strives to make every event truly magical!
LONGVIEW FARMS has over 165 acres of certified organic land on Vancouver Island, including 3.5 acres of greenhouses on the Saanich Peninsula. They are a trusted local source for fresh organic fruits and vegetables, and also grow hay, daffodils and carving pumpkins. Their produce is available in local retail stores throughout Vancouver Island and the mainland.
