Clydesdale gelding born 2016. Max joined the Tally-Ho herd in 2023 and arrived in Spring 2024 after completing training in Chetwynd, BC. With his kind eyes and try-so-hard attitude, he quickly won our hearts.
Though naturally reserved, Max is incredibly sweet once he knows you and always ready to work. He exceeded expectations in his first season, successfully giving carriage rides and attending special events — something uncommon for a first-year carriage horse. Now confidently working in Victoria, Max especially shines at special events, where he loves being the star of the show and striking his signature show stance.
Max shares a close bond with his best friend Johnny, and the two are often found attached at the hip. We’re so proud of the confident, dependable carriage horse Max has become.
The Clydesdale horse is listed on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust list as a species vulnerable to extinction. In 2010 the worldwide population was estimated to be 5,000.
