Clydesdale gelding born 2018. Johnny joined Tally-Ho in 2024, at only six years old. He has a kind, willing nature and a great brain, and with continued training and patience is well on his way to becoming a wonderful carriage horse.
Always ready for a cuddle, Johnny truly believes his job is to be loved. He happily leans in for affection and would be content all day if you’d hold his head for him — a perfect trait for a horse who will one day charm fans of all ages.
Johnny has a solid foundation in driving and is continuing to develop his groundwork while learning to relax under harness. He’s also gaining experience working in a team to support a smooth, positive transition in his training. When he’s not learning, he’s usually found attached at the hip to his best friend Max, whether waiting for breakfast or soaking up extra love.
We can’t wait to introduce this sweet, affectionate boy to everyone in Victoria during the 2026 season.
The Clydesdale horse is listed on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust list as a species vulnerable to extinction. In 2010 the worldwide population was estimated to be 5,000.
