Clydesdale gelding born 2007. Frankie and his son, Ace, joined us at Hidden Acres Farm in 2024, coming from Alberta where they had primarily been pets. Frankie started his new career as a carriage horse with grace and ease – he pretty much just went to Victoria and got to work! He works only part time as he has a progressive equine neurological disorder, Shivers, that can cause abnormal hind leg movement patterns. Luckily, Frankie has very minor signs of shivers at this stage, but his specialized diet and the stability that working in shafts provides, will help keep him happy and healthy over the long term.
